Well-Bred Warmblood Gelding – Ready for someone to take the reins
Bertie is a rising 7-year-old Warmblood gelding, standing approx 16’2hh, with excellent bloodlines. His sire, Dornkaart (Don Primero x Pik Bube), competed at FEI level in dressage, and his dam, Sonique (Sandro Hit x Donnerhall), is a successful small tour mare with multiple championship wins.

 

Bertie has three quality paces, a soft contact, and great potential to move up the levels in dressage and/or eventing. Originally bred as a dressage prospect, he’s also shown strong jumping ability. Started as a 4-year-old and brought along steadily, Bertie is now in full work and ready for a confident and ambitious rider. He’s trained up to novice-level dressage, starting some elementary work, and can do a green flying change. He’s currently training 1*/105cm and has competed at 95cm, proving his versatility.

 

Bertie thrives with a rider who can guide him in his less confident moments and continue his development. He’s fun to take out on trails and easy to handle, but he needs a rider with ‘feel’ to get the best out of him.
