Solana

Barbie dream horse

POA

Description

My dream Barbie horse is going to find her new home.
Stunning young mare, ready to go on with.
Solana (“sunshine” in Spanish) is a 4.5yo pinto mare with beautiful intentional breeding. Dam – paint “Wilsam Broadway Bling”, sire – cremello warm blood “PrH Glitter N Cream”.
Background:
She was started as a filly with foundational work, left to grow. At 2-3yo she was lightly backed and again left to grow (she is still growing, expected to reach 16hh and presently over 15hh unmeasured). Now ready to go back into work and get on with, I am now not in a position to with a third baby.
Physique:
With beautiful lines and an athletic and agile build, she would suit a multitude of disciplines, or present as a stunning and I’m sure, winning show horse. Her colouring as a palomino and paint combination is strikingly beautiful, the golden contrasting with the white with a silky coat.
Condition:
She is up to date with worming, vaccinations, drenching and dentistry.
She is coming into her brilliant golden and sparkling summer coat.
As previously stated, she is still growing and beginning to fill out nicely.
She has recently been brought back into long reining to begin her reintroduction to work under saddle.
Temperament:
Solana has been loving her introduction to a herd environment. She is familiar with stables, yards (solo but with neighbours) and currently paddocked with other mares. As expected, she loves having companions and forms bonds.
She is food oriented, which is great for intentional training, though needs someone firm at mealtimes to continue her manners development.
She is familiar with children, toddlers and my newborn, but I CANNOT say that she is a bomb proof horse because she simply hasn’t had the experience yet, for me to say so.
Solana is smart, curious, confident and sassy.
She also is very affectionate and sweet, loving touch and companionship.
She is the first to the gate and calls out to you.
Good for farrier.
Good for washing etc.
Has been good to float with a firm but kind hand each time she has been in one (will be fine with regular float training).
New home will:
Be somewhere where she will have further training with someone confident with green broken and strong-minded horses.
Be somewhere she will reach her potential and work towards becoming successful in her chosen discipline.
Be somewhere that has experience with young horses.
Be somewhere that can afford to maintain her health and cost with high quality feed and minerals as all growing horses need.
Be a 5* home.
Be happy to send me updates and keep in touch.
Off-property lease to the perfect home would be considered, under strict contract to protect both parties.
Price will increase with further training. (I am aware that some owners may prefer to do their own training, hence why I am pausing on training for now).
