Description

They don't come much better than this!
I've owned Shakey since Oct 2022. He loves the bush and is happy going out solo. He's brave, robust and copes well when taken to new places. No bolt or nastiness in this horse.
He's had loads of exposure - SJ days, Jump X, OTTWA Clinics, Gidge XC hires, and Adult Riders. Shakey & I have had expert tuition at lessons.
Floats like a dream, teeth up to date and is microchipped. He is barefoot, wearing front Scootboots on harder ground. He may need rears on very hard ground.
Shakey is a low pecking order horse, he loves and needs paddock friends but will give up his feed if bullied. Loves hay and being hosed off on hot days.
He is familiar with chickens, sheep, cows, dogs, roos, motorbikes, quads, mowers and cars on the road. He's friendly with other horses.
Reason for sale: He isn't able to happily be what I've been training him for. I don't believe full time jumping is his thing, nor loads of arena work. He has a great walk, smooth trot and a beautiful canter but struggles with the switch from canter down to trot and usually will drop into a pace.
I have put 2 years of time, lessons and love into this boy to bring him this far since racing. His perfect home is trail or farm hack, Adult Riders/lessons, paddock buddy and being appreciated for his gentle and beautiful nature. Possibly Endurance.
Shakey is NOT a beginners horse. He is big, strong and quick. Independent seat, hands and legs are a must.
This was a hard advert to write as he is the sweetest boy and if I had room, he'd remain with me, no question about it.
This soul deserves a long and happy life with a special person. He will come with his front Scoots, his winter rug and fly veil.
