Description
Ellenor aka Ellie, a truly eye-catching Reg QH (A2-2368).
Ellie is the ultimate Show Galloway for an intermediate young teen seeking a confidence builder. She has no spook, buck, bolt, rear. Well-educated under saddle, is responsive and soft and doesn’t need consistent work to perform. She has done a lot in her past – pony club/clinics/gymkhanas. She is exceptional out trail riding in bush, not looky and trustworthy (cantering on loose rein). She’s a very smart horse – we’ve dabbled in a bit of free-lunge and she has a lot of potential in liberty if pursued.
She’s a good doer, rugged and barefoot. She has beautiful conformation and muscle tone. Her coat dapples in Summer which furthers her beauty.
Ellie is a chestnut mare so does have quirks/sassiness. She must be in the company of another horse and gets separation anxiety when alone (she’s been with other horses her entire life). If separated, she can be pushy on the ground. She is a dominant mare in a herd particularly at feed time. Otherwise, she is incredibly quiet on the ground, grooming/tacking up, and will greet you to be caught in the paddock every time. She is very intuitive – I’ve had my toddler sit on her lots, and beginner kids have ridden her under supervision where she matches their level. Due to her smarts, she is not bombproof as she will try pull the wool if left to do so, so not for a beginner in entirety (nor would I want to see her go to a beginner home – she’s got more to give).
The is a very hard sale. Her price is negotiable to the right home. She’s being wasted and needs to be with a competitive home for her full potential (the Kimberley does not offer this and she’s too good for just a trail riding horse). Not hasty to sell and will be very selective on her new home.
I am time poor with a young family/working full time, so appreciate enquiries via email or text please – (email: [email protected]).
Vet checks welcome – full transparency, she has a scar under her near front leg though is not noticeable unless shown (photos available). From time to time, she can get stiffness in her hind hock in the walk which resolves itself once warmed and causes no issue for her when ridden (happy to gallop on sand).
Happy to assist with any travel arrangements. Photos (2-5) were taken 28 Oct 24 – Videos available upon request.
