Chloe,
Started by Catherine Anderson
Then 6 weeks spell
November 2024 - Two weeks training with Babies & Brats
Began ground work, to slowly re start her & then she has had 5-10
rides since been started all at walk focusing on calmness and basics. (1
or 2 rides p/w)
Chloe is a smart mare who picks things up very quickly, she is light to
turn/stop and go and is slowly finding her balance and rhythm. (In walk)
She has had no dirt under saddle & only 1 small spook in which she
scooted forward a step or two before being lightly asked to stop, which
she did. Then carried on nicely.
On the ground she has shown us she is a sensitive mare who needs time
and patience to figure out her routine, she likes each step taken slowly
(grooming, tacking up, hand walk around arena before ride ect..) as
when rushed she gets anxious.
Her quirks are hard to explain, but obvious to see when she is
uncomfortable or stressed. I believe she’ll thrive with someone calm and
happy to take each step slowly and spend more than 2 days a week with
her training.
Chloe is the boss of the herd and loves the wider landscape. She will be
stalled overnight but doesn’t love it. Chloe needs a person who will be
kind and love & dote on her like she deserves. Chloe takes
everything in around her and often thinks she has to worry for others,
for this reason we don’t believe she would be suited to an agistment center environment. Chloe
will make a beautiful children’s pony in time but for now is best
suited to a small adult who understands what she needs and can cater
their riding to build her courage.
Currently back with Catherine, going back into work and selling on behalf of the owner.
