Description
Valentino was purchased previously to be my dressage horse. He has very good conformation, natural back end engine, big paces, and shows easy ability for laterals. Unfortunately life has other plans - lost my home in the Wooroloo fires, it's been 4 years and I am still not home, live an hour away from the horses, haven't rebuilt or set up adequate riding facilities for green horses. Things aren't about to change anytime soon.
He is very green, and he has been out of work for over 12 months. My (then)13 year old daughter did ride him for 6 months with the help of our trainer while I had him at the Agistment centre to utilise the indoor and outdoor arenas. He is back at Wooroloo and out of work for over 12 month. My daughter adores him, and he adores her, however it will be years before I have the time and facilities to give him the attention he deserves, and she is still just too young to do it on her own.
He is big, strong, sensitive. Not an easy personality - always has been very weary of humans especially with time off, although its been a few years since he had the consistent handling and routine.
He would make a good project horse for someone who wants a quality horse and has the time and skills to educate and train, has worked with green warmbloods before, have access to an arena in a low stress environment, have the time to give him the attention he needs, paddocked in a heard environment and ready to be his person every day.
