Adoption home fell through -
Shining Jewel 18 year old TB mare
Jewel has been with us for around 2 years, she came from a spelling / broodmare environment, and can be aloof with new people which comes in the form of being difficult to catch.
once she knows you, there’s no problem with catching her.
We have techniques we’ve developed over the years with this and will go through them with her new potential home.
Jewel must be in an individual paddock and not be with another horse as when paddocked with others we’ve noticed her catching issues get worse. Individually paddocked and sharing a fence line is the perfect happy medium for our Mumma Jewel.
This gem is now looking for her forever home to spend the rest of her days with, Jewel is suited to someone experienced, but also someone who is happy for the occasional ride, Jewel doesn’t need consistency of ridden work to bring out her best qualities.
Jewel is an easy keeper on her Clayton’s pellets and oaten hay, she is great to float, farrier, dental.
She has not got any known vices under saddle.
