Description
Poppy is a stunning 10yo wb x TB mare standing approx 16.1-16.2hh.
Poppy would best suit breeding, although can be ridden with the right person and maintenance. She can be very hormonal and would require regumate along with other management (happy to discuss with right home). She is a very sweet natured horse but does speak her mind and is happy to say no if something is not right. No nastiness though.
Excellent to show, float, tie, worm, camp, even vet trips are super relaxing! Has always been kept in a herd environment and is at the bottom of the pecking order. Can be hard to catch, and has some feed related reactions.
More whoa than go, no buck, bolt, rear, however is slightly cold backed and can do a few pig roots when you first get on, hence preference for non-ridden home.
Poppy was brought along very slowly while she grew and filled out, and thus does not have too many miles under her belt.
She has excellent ground manners, enjoys dressage and poles/show jumping, however is not suited to cross country so please do not enquire if this is what you are wanting.
Poppy had 6 months off over last summer and has recently been bought back into light work, however will need further strengthening if you are considering riding her. I will be very picky with any ridden home, and happy to provide all information and previous vet work.
