Bensons Cha Ching – Ruby

 

Ruby is a 16 ¼ HH WB X TB mare who carries all the attributes of her sport horse breeding.  

She is a truly competitive all rounder with many excellent results in Eventing up to 105, Show Jumping up to 115, and Dressage at official elementary.  She is also a lovely ridable horse who will be sadly missed. 

 

Ruby is 12 years old and started her competitive ridden career in October 2015.  Prior to this she was a successful broodmare.  She has been brought on slowly through the grades by her now 19 yo rider and they have had lots of success in a variety of disciplines –career highlights listed below, including qualifying for Interschool Nationals in three disciplines in 2017.  

 

Her main focus for the last 12 – 18 months has been eventing and she completed her first 2* (115) in August 2019.  

 

Ruby is excellent for the farrier (is shod), vet, travels well and is up to date with her teeth etc. She has had no major injuries and we have not had any soundness concerns with her. 

 

Ruby is for sale as my daughter hopes to continue to move up the grades and we feel Ruby may be better competing up to 105, rather than being pushed to compete higher.  She has the scope for 115 (show jumps very well at this level) so with more consolidation 2 * may be an option but we have made the difficult decision to sell her and “learn the ropes” at 2* on an experienced horse.

 

Ruby would suit a Junior rider very well -she is generally an uncomplicated ride and is very competitive. She’s spent many years with us at Pony Club, and my daughter recently completed her B certificate on her. She’s been ridden by riders of all ages from very beginner to experienced and has proven herself to be a safe and reliable ride.  She would also make a fantastic competitive school master for an adult rider.

 

Ruby can get attached when taken out with another horse to events. As such we would prefer to see her go to a home where she would be competed on her own.

PCAWA 2019 dressage champs- winner of Plunkett in Age 16-24 (Novice), and winner of Novice freestyle Age 17-24

Capal 105 March 2019 – 1 st place

Wooroloo 105 May 2019 – 5 th

Murray 105 June 2019 – 4 th

 

Show jumping

WA SJ champs September 2019 3 rd place 115

PCAWA state SJ champs 2019 Winner BW individual (equitation) and team event, and second Zone team 110cm

Interschools 2017 – 3 rd over all 1M 

 

Combined training interschools 2017 – 95/ Prelim -1 st place

 

Home is of utmost importance to us as she is a much-loved member of our family.

No off property trials, and not available for lease.

 

She is in full work and will be out competing until sold.
