Torridon Lodge Elkanah aka Echo
Riding 8 yr old, 17.2hh Aus WB, Gelding, Tabiano.
Sire: TL Emir ( imp Dutch WB)
Dam: TL Picturesque, DS: Cornelius
Registered AWHA,
Echo has been with me for 3 week in that time I have fine tuned his training and balance and he is developing nicely. Echo moves forward nicely off the leg and is just starting baby lateral work to help with his development and balance through his work, which will continue to improve while his is in training on the market.
Echo has a very good sound grounding he was broken in at 4 by Rhys Morrissey from Clear Sky performance. He was then lightly ridden and returning to Clear Sky’s for further education late 2023.
Echo has 3 very nice paces with a rocking horse canter, he is a big horse has big movement and not for anyone with confidence issues or may be intimidated by his size. He is sensitive but has zero malice and respects owners space will not walk over you at all, once he knows you he is great, I have had zero problems.
He has fitted in with my 5 horses with no issues is happy to leave them to work and come back no separation anxiety.
To take off property he does look around however there is no anxiety involved or flight response present.
Echo has been free jumped just once and he did this with eze, however he has not been professionally educated to jump, we have now had him jumping and he easily clears 85cm, he finds this height very easy and we could easily have pushed hi higher without a problem, but did not as it was his first time.
He is great with the Farrier bare foot, hard ties, easy to float and load ( extensive float loading and training has been done with me to correct this).
Echo was purchased as a baby to be a future eventer due to his World Cup jumping bloodlines. Emir his Sire himself was trained and competed to Advanced level dressage and Show Jumped by a young rider here in WA to 120cm, and free jumped to 1.70 before being imported to Aus.
A hugely successful Eventing and SJ career is most definitely not out of his scope with more jumping exposure.
He is for sale due to his owner moving onto smaller acreage and kids ponies taking priority
Echo is not for beginners novice ( only under tuition) to advanced rider this horse needs a confident rider with knowledge to bring out the best in him.
