I am selling my lovely Bates Wide AP Saddle which is in excellent condition. The saddle suits new buyers; only bought is a little over a year ago brand new but it got little use, because I have changed my riding style and ride now in a stock/half breed saddle. The Bates Wide AP is a great saddle and very comfortable, which fitted my broad shouldered, hard to fit 16 hh gelding very well. The 18” saddle seat gives the taller or heavier rider the necessary room but also allows for those of smaller stature plenty of space to find your balance. 

The saddle is make of good quality, black leather with a good rigging system and changeable knee rolls. 

The saddle comes with Bates’ Chair Cushion system and interchangeable EASY Change Gullet system. The saddle gives you 4 gullet size options, 1x-wide, 2x-wide, 3x-wide and 4x-wide. The gullet irons are super easy to change. The saddle comes new with an 2x-wide gullet fitted, which I have currently in the saddle. However, I also have an 3x-gullet for sale (purple - see photo) and a Standard Riser Package, which you can use to balance the saddle perfectly. With these accessories you are equipped to fit to your broad shouldered horse.
