Joanne & Edward are Located at the base of the Darling Scarp foothills in Benger on lush irrigation land, BC Horse Training offers a calm, supportive environment for both horses and riders.

Our approach focuses on solid foundational fundamentals. We train horses to respond to light aids with correct body movement and strong shoulder control—setting the stage for a confident and balanced partnership.
Joanne, one of our experienced trainers, specializes in the correct use of aids to develop a harmonious connection between horse and rider.

Our training method is soft, fair, and progressive:

Horses are long-reined, laterally mouthed
- Backed from both a mounting block and another horse.

We start from the ground up, encouraging rhythm and responsiveness through lunging in open spaces using verbal cues & confidence building Exercises.

This foundation smoothly transitions to saddle work in a calm, confidence-building manner.
- Lateral leg aids are Started on Green starts, but not established until horse is Physically Ready for it.
- Solid handover is done with owners - prior to pick up where possible for FREE
Each horse is treated as an individual, with training tailored to their specific needs—mentally, physically, and emotionally.
